If you know of a business associate, another sharpener, another stylist, whoever in the path of the hurricaine, email them or give them a call. Don't assume the have family to escape to. Maybe all their family is in the affected area. Even if you can't make room for your friends, you could probably find room somewhere. Even if they end up in a hotel close by, they will enjoy a friendly sympathetic face. It's times like this we should remember to treat others in the way we would like to be treated.
If you are in the Atlanta area and have a spare bedroom, but don't know anyone in the evacuation area, email me at megowan@bonika.com. I know of possibly four families who will need a place if the storm is protracted at all.
For those who are fleeing the storm, our hearts and prayers are with you as well as our readers. Hopefully America has learned from Katrina and we will not forget you this time. Thank you to the churches who are now mobilizing to help.
I've been avidly following the hurricaine track. Here's the best link I have found: Gustav Map
To update those interested in helping the Gustav victims, here are some websites that will show you how to help...
